Adirondack Bouldering: Pot of Gold (V11) Second Ascent

Description:
Pot of Gold (V11) was first established back in 2009 by a close friend of mine, Ken Murphy. The problem is on a massive glacial erratic that sits at the base of Kane Mountain and is just off of the combined NYS RT-29/10A corridor on Caroga Lake, New York. The problem itself boasts over 20 hand movements on a stunning, slightly overhanging portion of the boulder, with intricate movements, demanding body positions, a big move high off of the ground, and a highball finish. With my beta, the sit start also involves a brutal pinkie lock in a vertical crack that has left my pinkie numb and bloody on more than one occasion. This ascent marks the much anticipated second ascent on the problem and one that took monumental effort, time, dedication, training, and patience. Big shout out to Murph on his first ascent of this impressive boulder problem back in the day...good on ya Mate! New York: Adirondack Park Bouldering Guidebook to be published VERY SOON!
