Inside the Mind of Honnold: An Excerpt from his Book “Alone on the Wall”

Teaser:
This excerpt, written by Alex, details the events surrounding his free solo of the Original Route (5.12b) on the Rainbow Wall near Las Vegas.

Alex Honnold is perhaps today’s most recognizable climbing figure. He’s known for having completed some of the most impressive free solos in the history of rock climbing, some of them so committing and difficult that they’re hard to fathom, even for climbers. Many of us read about his accomplishments or watch nausea-inducing videos of him high off the ground with no rope, and wonder, “What is going through his mind?”
